You may quote, cite and chart NAVSTRAT-SSBI scores and insights in articles, research, teaching and social media posts, provided you credit “NAVSTRAT-SSBI, navstrat.net”, with the edition cited and link to this site. This permission covers non-commercial use only.
Uses that need a licence
- Using NAVSTRAT-SSBI scores in a paid product, client report, rating, dashboard or internal business tool
- Republishing the full table or a substantial part of it
- Training models on, or systematically downloading, the data
- Using the NAVSTRAT or NAVSTRAT-SSBI names, or confusingly similar names, for another index or service

Third-party data
The index draws on data from SIPRI, UN Comtrade, the World Bank and UCDP/PRIO, which remain subject to their own terms. A licence from NAVSTRAT does not grant rights to those underlying datasets.
